Talk Description
Eduardo Moncada will discuss his dissertation topic on the role of business in shaping urban government responses to violence with an empirical focus on several major cities in Colombia.

About the Speaker:
Eduardo Moncada is a Ph.D Candidate in the Department of Political Science at Brown University. His research interests include the politics of violence, comparative political economy of development, "city politics" in the developing world, and state-business relations. Moncada is currently a 2010-11 Predoctoral Fellow with the Program on Order, Conflict and Violence at Yale University.
